World Cup 2018 recap – England’s group

world cup 2018

Although it might seem like England have got an easy group, there were still room for mistakes in Group G. Belgium were in fine form, it’s Panama’s first chance to impress on the big stage and Tunisia are making their return to the World cup for the first time in 12 years. Lets see how things went for England national team.

Belgium

The country really needs to deliver for a team that showcases such talent. The country has still yet to make it to a semi-final of the World Cup and have been held back by mediocre management so far. However, this could change with Roberto Martinez taking the helms, hoping to get the most out of his Belgium superstars. With Romelu Lukaku up front and Eden Hazard to create the chances, they shouldn’t be short of goals this summer. We saw their clash on 28th June and see who wins.

Panama

The country managed to make it to Russia after causing a major upset, beating Costa Rica 2-1 in the final World Cup qualifier. Panama managed to finish above the United States, despite having the States having a population of 320 million and Panama 4 million. Their key player is Luis Tejada, who has scored 43 goals for his country.  However, they were powerless against superior c and his teammates, so they’ve capitulated with 6 goals in their net.Score: England 6 – 1 Panama

Tunisia

The country was undefeated in their qualifying campaign, having qualified for the first time in 12 years. This will be Tunisia’s fifth World Cup, although the country has never managed to make it past the group stage. Their key player is Youssef Msakni. The forward played a crucial role in qualifying and the forward should be able to find the back oft he net this summer. Again, Harry Kane was the man who decided the fate of this brave England team. Scoring in 90’+1 stoppage time thus ensuring the win for his team.

The odds were stacked in England’s favour, with the country 1/8 to qualify. Although the Three Lions are the favourites to win the group, and they might, but the score from the match with Belgium wont change the fact they are already qualified. However, World Cup odds found online are saying that England wont make calculations, as winning the first place in the group will grant them easier opponent in next stage. Top 16 should not be their final reach, as this team posses great strength and quality. Many people think that betting on World Cup is unpredictable , but one thing is sure, England wont give up easily and they’ve already showed all betting lovers that they can count on them.
