Robbie said that this will be a great achievement for Salah if he managed to win the Player of the Year award. Messi and Ronaldo have the advantage of playing in the World Cup. So that their performance at the World Cup in Russia can give them an advantage in the award.

Underdogs opinion?

Whilst Liverpool are currently the underdogs in the Champions League Final, set to be played in 2 weeks. The betting is heavily in Real Madrid’s favour. You would have to say that if Mo Salah manages to score and help Liverpool lift the biggest title in European domestic football. If that happens, he would instantly become the favourite to win the Ballon D’Or. Although, his hopes probably also rest with how well Brazil, Portugal and Argentina do at the World Cup in Russia.

Fowler said that Salah has everything that a striker needs to become a good player. He said that he has good techniques as well as pace and he always takes the best decision in front of goals.

Fowler said that Liverpool has had a great season this year and that he is sure that they will be able to compete for the title next season. He said that Jurgen Klopp has managed to inspire the players and improve their belief. Also, he said that Salah has benefited from the arrival of Jurgen Klopp. Therefore, he is sure that he will keep on improving under the guidance of German manager.
